The shopping Centre Domina presents a style makeover in co-operation with the program “Style Without Taboo” (“Stils Bez Tabu”) and the magazine “Marta”.

The first impression regarding Aija dissolves as soon as we meet her in person. Aija is not strict and serious at all, but smiles a lot, is sweet and amazingly kindhearted woman, a mom of two children and a great colleague. Aija works in Riga, but loves to spend her free time in countryside – Vidrizi, Limbaži region. Aija hopes that one day, when she will grow old, she will be able to spend the rest of her life there.

Aija writes in her application letter: Why the makeover? Understanding that the only unchanging value in this world is a truth that everything changes, the makeover is something very normal. I have reached such harmony where I do not need a makeover – I do not care how I look. At the same time, I have not lost a connection with reality; therefore, I understand that others still care.

Experts share on the Makeover:

Ginta: Seeing Aija, I immediately understood that a fringe on a forehead would not suit her. Something else was necessary. We decided to maker her hair more lively – revived a colour, cut off weakened ends and created a stylish cut.
















Kristīne: We agreed with Agnese, that cold colours would suit Aija much better; therefore, we put on a good base, corrected eyebrows and used eye shadows in cold tones. I believe that the result is great! My suggestion to Aija – choose a red lipstick more often.




Svetlana: Model had natural nails, where only a shape correction was needed. We chose neutral color according selected outfits as well as Aija’s everyday work.




Agnese: I tried to introduce more refinement and femininity in Aija’s image, not loosing her strong character, energy and desire to feel comfortable at the same time. I used calm colours, considering a fact, that Aija does not like bright colours and does not feel secure in them. I believe that we succeeded in making Aija more radiant and certain regarding her femininity, because we worked together as a team.

Aija is delighted: I am very happy. I really like the result. I had a chance to try on several attires, and may say that I liked all of them. Each one had something interesting and feminine. As others say – I look younger now.

Makeover attires

This set is for an active daily life, therefore a comfortable and free silhouette was chosen – trousers, freely draped blouse and a jersey. A tiny nuance – the blouse is decorated with fine patterns in calm colours, but the jersey is made from a nice natural material, which is elegant, practical and useful for a work. A brooch with a cameo was chosen as a small romantic accent, which both adds to Aija’s image and enriches set’s colours.

The designer tried to introduce brighter colour accents in this image, using scarves and accessories. This set is universal, as it can be well used in an office or for meeting outside the office. Hazy pink and violet colours suit Aija very well, refreshing and making her to look younger. The designer used a principle of ascetism, free forms and elegance in this image as well.

This set is for more official and fancy events, than two other sets. The main aim was to create an image of a strong woman, maybe even the ‘femme fatale.’ The interesting cut of a coat and original beads without any exaggerations creates individuality and a sense of creativity.
