Fashion trends in January

Smart investment

When choosing a coat, remember that it requires a proper attitude and especial significance must be given to a quality and a content of a material. Return to proven and long-living things are characteristic traits at the fashion world right now. Therefore, fashion houses focus on a cult of seriousness and loyalty, turning their backs to ever-changing fashion caprices. Of course, that means following classic rules – double-breasted coats with emphasized collars, pockets and, of course, a sophisticated and exceptionally high quality fabric.

Dandy woman

A woman can also be a dandy, having both extravagance and Chopin’s melancholy. This is a good way to avoid an evening dress, taking part in festive events during January, and charm everyone by showing up in trousers and jacket, adding a jabot or a charming bow tie. One more time we are reminded this season that ‘boyish’ details can emphasize your femininity more than anything!

Dandy

Men can express their passion for sophisticated things during January as well, focusing towards men’s accessories – cufflinks, scarves, neckerchiefs, bow ties and handkerchiefs. This style is characterized by a ‘new dandy’ traits – old, good and well-forgotten things are served in a new way. More and more creative and interesting things enter seemingly mundane and unchanging men’s classical clothing. Everyone, who is at least a little bit dandy in his heart, has noticed shirts, which show up in fashion shows time to time. These shirts are made using a classical basis, but with more interesting cuts and smart details. It is very positive and innovative, because a dressed up man not always wears a jacket – a moment has come, when a thoughtfully made and interesting shirt speaks for itself.

Idol of Freedom

An Idol of Freedom – a most characteristic trait and a hottest trend in men’s clothing, which unfortunately has not reached Riga’s streets yet. Such image is totally taken out of shackles of restrictive clothing; clothing and a style is individually adapted. A theory of a suit has finally changed as well – they must not be the same, actually, they can be very different in form, silhouette, and drapes, just as women’s dresses. This new masculine style can be also called a ‘vagabond’. He is on his way to new discoveries and busy with thoughts regarding the future, therefore designers especially focus on a free silhouette, ‘over size’ looks, as well as asymmetric fasteners and details.
